We’ve been broken up for 3 years something now with no contact at all. I moved to another country and moved on with my life. It was an amicable split with no one pointing fingers as to who screwed up what. We just figured it was best if we gave each other space to work on ourselves. To cut the story short, we met in one of the multiple city singles tours stop. It wasn’t as romantic as how movies portrayed it to be but there’s no denying about the connection we shared. We saw each other, talked over coffee and lunch (separate occasions) then exchanged numbers. 

After we got back, we met again for dinner. It really felt nice, kind of what others describe as feeling like “coming back home.” This feels like a second chance for me now and I don’t want it to go to waste. I’m going to ask her out again like on a romantic date. I just don’t know how to initiate it. Do you just cut to the chase and say “hey, can I ask you on a date” or do I go with “hey I still like you and if you feel the same way would you go out on a date with me?”
